Oxymoron evolves into VR
December 1, 2024Pilot Presentation of the Artificial Inteligence and Virtual Reality Platform.
On 19 December, we participated in the workshop series "Artificial Intelligence and Creativity" organized by Karpos. These workshops aim to spark discussion and explore the potential of AI tools in research and writing. During the session led by Georgia Koutrika, Research Director at the ATHENA Research Center, participants became familiar with prompting techniques and information retrieval, pushing the boundaries of creativity through various AI applications.
Diadrasis contribution focused on presenting the challenges and opportunities encountered while developing an educational platform integrating Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence to simulate job interviews for children with developmental disorders. Attendees engaged with the presentation before immersing themselves in the digital environment we created, interacting with a humanoid avatar by stepping into the role of an interviewer.
The workshop is part of the European project TADAM – Tools & Awareness about Disinformation, Algorithm, and Media (Creative Europe). TADAM aims to raise awareness among stakeholders and citizens about the importance of media literacy and using AI algorithms to combat disinformation, fostering a more critical and responsible approach to digital media use.
