June 19, 2020Under celebrations for the completion of 200 years since the Greek War of Independence, the National Hellenic Research Foundation and the Library of the Greek Parliament, commended the project “Representatives of the Greek War of Independence: The Assemblies and the Legislative Corps” to Diadrasis.
The forementioned project aims to locate, record systematically and study the people who took part in the major political procedures of the War of Independence, through the composition of a well-documented and authoritative catalogue of the people who took part in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th National Assemblies, as well as a listing and biographical material composition of the people who took part in the Legislative Corps. The project will address to researchers and scholars of Greek Political History, but also to a wider audience, while it will also cover a big blank in historiography documentation by combining relevant exhibits, testimonies and official sources of modern Greek governance.
Both catalogues and biographical material will be uploaded on a specialised digital platform, which will be designed for the project and will be available from the web. It could also constitute material for future printed publications.
The platform will be ready and available to the audience in a few months.
