Learning through play!
As part of the project “From the Aegean to the Ionian: A Sea of Knowledge”, diadrasis, in collaboration with the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, PostScriptum, and Synthesee, developed an innovative educational tool for creating audiovisual dialogues, with the option of Virtual Reality (VR) integration.
“Walk In My Shoes” aims to raise awareness among teenagers and young people about issues such as bullying, stereotypes, discrimination, and various forms of violence. Through a specially designed authoring tool, educators or psychologists can create audiovisual scenarios by selecting characters, expressions, and dialogues.
In this way, participants do not passively observe a story; instead, they actively intervene in its development, shaping different narrative outcomes and cultivating empathy and critical thinking through experiential learning.
The final scenario can be experienced in a Virtual Reality (VR) environment via Meta Quest headsets, offering a fully immersive experience.
“Walk In My Shoes” is a tool that combines pedagogical practice with technological innovation, enhancing the understanding and management of complex social issues through experience.
The application is available in seven languages (Greek, English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, and Turkish) and is primarily aimed at students aged 12–18. It can also be used in educational and training programmes by teachers, psychologists, and youth facilitators.
