Exhibition in Lesvos

The VR App, VR-Elia, developed by Diadrasis on the production of olive oil in the past, was included as part of the exhibition "OLIVE IN LESBO" held by the Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos, in August 2022. It is an interactive exhibition that delves into the history of the olive tree, its connection to the landscape, and the evolution of olive oil production techniques employed throughout the ages on the olive-rich island of Lesvos.

The presence of Diadrasis in the exhibition, takes place in the second section on "Olive Technology". The promotion of the culture and technology of the olive is done through the creation of 3D models and audiovisual material. Utilizing Virtual Reality tools, visitors can engage in an immersive and interactive environment, actively participating in the olive oil production process. Explore mills with diverse mechanisms and experience the different periods of operation firsthand.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Natural History Museum of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Lesvos, the Sound Image & Cultural Representation Laboratory of the Department of Cultural Technology of the University of the Aegean and AEGEAN SOLUTIONS.
