Where art meets technology
The Diadrasis team presented the project Oxymoron VR at the Athens Digital Arts Festival, the largest and longest-running international digital arts festival in Greece, which took place from 23–26 April 2026 at Technopolis City of Athens.
Within the framework of the theme “META–MORPHOSIS,” the Athens Digital Arts Festival explored transformation as a continuous process of change at the intersection of nature and technology, past and present, reality and imagination. In this context, the Diadrasis team presented Oxymoron VR, an immersive Virtual Reality experience that investigates the contradictions of contemporary human existence and serves as an evolution of the dual-channel video installation by Konstantinos Tiligadis and Dimitris Agathopoulos.
The ADAF audience had the opportunity to enter a fully immersive VR environment and experience two contrasting yet interconnected realities: “Plastotopos” and “Skiotopos”. Through the use of VR technologies and interactive AI agents, visitors navigated a world where the concept of the “oxymoron” is transformed into a lived experience, engaging in dialogue with an artificial intelligence system that dynamically responds to their questions and choices.
The presentation of Oxymoron VR at ADAF was a significant opportunity both for the audience and for Diadrasis. Visitors were able to explore a world where art, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence operate together as a unified experiential storytelling medium. At the same time, Diadrasis participated in an international environment of digital art and immersive media, presenting its work, exchanging ideas, and connecting with creators, artists, and professionals working in the fields of new technologies and digital storytelling.
